DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION OF POMEGRANATE SEEDS DRYING UNIT USING INFRARED / HOT AIR DRYER

چکیده

In the present study combined infrared and hot air dryer to dry a thin layer of pomegranate seeds. Three different levels power, namely: 200, 250 300 W three exposure distance between heater samples dying are 20, 15 10 cm with temperature 40 oC velocity 1.5 m/s were studied. Drying time as affected by power distance, compatibility experimental data some drying models, effective diffusivity Deff, rehydration cost analysis also The results show that decreased increasing decreasing distance. Midilli et al model showed best fitness average R2 0.9972. maximum values Deff recorded at highest W. ratios ranged 0.55 1.16 under various conditions.
